Adult & Junior Snowboarding

The excitement and challenges generated by Snowboarding continue to make this the fastest growing snow sport.

To keep pace, the team at Hemel have increased the opportunities for new and existing Boarders, with group Lessons on Sunday afternoons.

Snowboarding Levels

We run four stages of Group Lessons to accommodate different snowboarding abilities. An achievement Card is supplied allowing you and your instructor to mark your progress through the various stages.

Stage 2Trainer SlopeRevision of heel and toeside Side slip; improving control of Snowboard on heel and toeside.
Stage3Trainer SlopeTraversing the slope on both heel and toe with confidence; introduction to the lift. Traversing into a straight run from both edges: Improving posture; introducing Garlands from both left and right.
Stage4Main SlopeAided turns on toe and heelside; progression to unaided turns.
Linking Slide Turns on the main slope and improving technique.

Group Lessons

From 11 years of age

Sundays 5.00pm – 6.00pm Juniors ALL Stages
          6.30pm – 7.30pm Adults ALL Stages

All through the Summer and Winter 1 hour sessions

Adult (from 16 years of age) £26.50 per person

Juniors (11 to 15 years of age) £21.00 per person

Private Snowboard Lessons

From 11 years of age – maximum 4 in a group.

Private lessons can offer greater personal attention than group lessons and the flexibility to arrange these at times that are most convenient to you. The lessons are for 1 hour and are available at various times.

ALL SNOWBOARDERS MUST WEAR GLOVES AND LONG SLEEVES, HAVE A LEASH ATTACHED WHEN RIDING, BE ABLE TO CONTROL THEIR SPEED AND DIRECTION, BE ABLE TO USE THE LIFT.
