The excitement and challenges generated by Snowboarding continue to make this the fastest growing snow sport.
To keep pace, the team at Hemel have increased the opportunities for new and existing Boarders, with group Lessons on Saturday afternoons, Wednesday and Sunday evenings.
Sunday Snowboard night is the best time to meet other snowboarders of all abilities. Spectators and Photographers are also welcome.
Snowboarding Levels
We run six levels of Group Lessons to accommodate different snowboarding abilities. An achievement Card is supplied allowing you and your instructor to mark your progress through the various stages.

| Level 1 | Nursery Slope | An Introduction to the basics of Snowboarding. How to warm up; Ground Work; Side slipping the Snowboard on both heel and toeside; Advice on safety. |
| Level 2 | Trainer Slope | Revision of heel and toeside Side slip; improving control of Snowboard on heel and toeside. |
| Level 3 | Trainer Slope | Traversing the slope on both heel and toe with confidence; introduction to the lift. |
| Level 4 | Trainer Slope | Traversing into a straight run from both edges: Improving posture; introducing Garlands from both left and right. |
| Level 5 | Main Slope | Aided turns on toe and heelside; progression to unaided turns. |
| Level 6 | Main Slope | Linking Slide Turns on the main slope and improving technique. |

Private Snowboard Lessons
From 11 years of age - maximum 4 in a group.
Private lessons can offer greater personal attention than group lessons and the flexibility to arrange these at times that are most convenient to you. The lessons are for 1 hour and are available at various times.

Sunday Night is Snowboard Night!
From 7.00pm to 10.00pm catch an evening of fun and entertainment for snowboarders.
Ride in good company to the sound of your music.
Slope off to the ski bar and wind down in the friendly atmosphere.
Spectators and photographers welcome.

Juniors (11 to 15 years of age) £8.50
Snowboards, Boots and padding can be hired for this session from 8.00pm at £2.00 per person (adult) and £1.50 for juniors.
ALL SNOWBOARDERS MUST WEAR GLOVES AND LONG SLEEVES, HAVE A LEASH ATTACHED WHEN RIDING, BE ABLE TO CONTROL THEIR SPEED AND DIRECTION, BE ABLE TO USE THE LIFT, HAVE ACHIEVED LEVEL 4 BOARDING SKILL.
